The European Central Bank (ECB) is analyzing cryptocurrency risks that may affect financial stability of the banking system, ECB President Mario Draghi said, according to Reuters.
Draghi reminded that there is still no regulation of digital coins, making digital currencies “very risky assets”.
The ECB chairman also notes that banks should not ignore this fact if they include cryptocurrencies in their investment portfolio.
Nevertheless, according to him, financial institutions are not very interested in bitcoin investments now.
